The André offers ideal family accommodation, as it is almost entirely made up of spacious family suites offering a parental bedroom, plus either a bunk room or a separate living area with sofa beds that can be used for children.
The light and airy lounge is on the top floor of the chalet, making the most of the fabulous views from its balcony. Parents will enjoy their pre-dinner drinks and canapés whilst warmed by the glow of a cosy fire, lit in the feature stone fireplace, before dining in the spacious dining room downstairs.
For the children's added enjoyment there's a DVD snug on the top floor, just off the lounge, ideal for settling boisterous children ready for bed or to entertain those early risers!
Chalet André is perfectly positioned for skiers who want to hit the slopes first thing in the morning and be last off the mountain in the afternoon. Guests here will be spoilt for choice with the Solaise and Olympique lifts opening up all of Val dIsère pistes within a couple of minutes walk of the chalet. Skiing back involves even less walking, as you can ski to within a few metres of the chalet.
Nursery children and staff will use the dining room at lunch time. |

Catering: | ::back to top | | For six days of the week our chalet staff, prepare all your meals. On the chalet hosts’ day off, they will leave out a simple breakfast for you, and that evening you and your family have the chance to eat out in one of the local cafés or restaurants.
Breakfast: A choice of cereals or porridge, fruit juices, plentiful tea and coffee, local bread (and croissants or ‘pains au chocolat’ in France), cold meats, cheeses and preserves, and boiled eggs. This is normally presented buffet-style for you to help yourself.
Afternoon Tea: The traditional ‘welcome home’ after a day on the slopes will be laid out for you by your chalet host; typically tea or coffee and a delicious slice of freshly home-baked cake.
Children’s High Tea: Our younger guests are served high tea at about 5.30pm. Supervised by our staff, high tea provides children under 13 with a healthy menu, but tailored more towards children’s tastes than the main adult dinner. Puréed food is available for infants on request. Parents are asked to accompany children under 36 months, whilst children 3-12 years will be supervised by staff.
Adult Dinner: Our four-course chalet dinners start with canapés and an apéritif, followed by an appetiser, main course and dessert, accompanied by a choice of wines, and followed by coffee with mints or chocolates.
Special Diets: Vegetarian options are always available if you advise us in advance and other special diets can generally be catered for at a cost of £25 per person per week (giving at least 14 days notice for these). Please advise us at the time of booking.
Our Chalet Wine Selection: We are very proud of our wine selection which combines crisp and fruity whites with medium to full bodied reds, for a variety of palates. We select our wines in conjunction with a third generation family’s fine wine business. |
